Liverpool now accepting board of education petition applications

The Liverpool Central School District is now accepting petitions for three positions on the board of education. These board seats currently are held by Stacey O'Neill Balduf, Richard Pento and F. Joseph Unangst, and are set to expire June 30.

Elected board members will serve a three-year term, effective July 1 through June 30, 2014. Candidates may be nominated by a petition signed by at least 74 qualified voters of the school board, complete with name and residence. Nomination petitions should be filed in the District Clerk's Office, 195 Blackberry Road, no later than 5 p.m. Monday April 18.

Candidates will be voted on during the annual school district election on May 17.
