Baldwinsville alum returns to entertain

Once a class-clown at Baldwinsville High School, and 2001's "Mr. Baldwinsville," Dan Frigolette is comedy's valedictorian at the upcoming performance in Syracuse's Palace Theatre. Plus, he's assembled a roster of comedians who got their start at rival local high schools to round out this "Homecoming" performance of former natives.

Frigolette, who you might remember from his performances in December at CNY Jazz Central, is a 2001 Graduate of Baldwinsville High School and a 2005 Graduate from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications. It's fair to say Frigolette has had a plethora of experiences in Central New York to make him the man he is today.

Frigolette moved to New York City in 2005 with an empty car and a full heart. Backed by his dreams of comedy and his experience performing in Syracuse's Viva Debris, under the tutelage of club owner Joe DeLion, Frigolette felt confident about taking the plunge and putting himself on the line.

Now a regular performer all over New York City and a familiar face to some of the most legendary comedy venues, it's fair to say Frigolette is on a solid path. His television appearances include: Cake Boss, ElimiDate, MTV nationally as well as Bridge Street locally.

Frigolette's charisma helps him ransack audiences with his true stories of awkward interactions, biting quips and occasional crowd work. He has worked with comedians such as: Amy Schumer, Lisa Lampanelli, Todd Barry, Kurt Metzger, Chuck Nice, Judah Friedlander and more. Frigolette loves to come back to Syracuse and perform for the town that created him.

Coming along for the ride are former locals and now established headlining comedians: Jimmy D Della Valle and Moody McCarthy.

Jimmy D Della Valle is a 1990 Graduate of CNS. He was born in North Syracuse in an Italian/Irish household and immediately enrolled into Catholic School. He was quickly recognized as a self-made talent by St. Rose of Lima Elementary when he was expelled for being the class clown. He spent his adolescence and early adulthood in Central New York graduating from CNS and getting a position with the Turning Stone Casino.
