Laura Austin is back at it

Armory Square's Red House Arts Center invites you to laugh when their improvisational comedy troupe returns Oct. 1 for a run of six shows. No two shows are the same; each feature different scenes and characters fueled by audience suggestions and response. This is Red House Live's fourth season.

The cast this season includes Tim Mahar, Laura Austin, Stephen Peters and Rachelle Clavin, with musical director Emmett Van Slyke, and hosted by Glenn "Gomez" Adams of TK99's "Gomez & Dave Morning Show."

Red House Live was created by Tim Mahar and Laura Austin (skaneateles), who have trained and performed with Second City, the home of "the world's greatest comedy theatre." You may also recognize Mahar from his performances with "Off the Cuff" in Syracuse and New York, or from his own show "Live Radio". Austin has been seen working in television, film and theatre throughout the U.S. and abroad.

Red House Live holds comedy improv workshops throughout the season. Open to all skill levels, the Red House is a great place to fuel your interests, start an acting career, or just try something new.

Red House Live will perform at the Red House Arts Center on the following Fridays: Oct. 1, Dec. 3, Jan. 7, Feb. 4, March 4, and closing May 6. Box office and doors open at 7 .pm., and the show starts at 8p.m. General admission is $15, students and seniors $12 with a cash bar.
