Art gallery sabbatical show opens Sept. 1

The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall opens the fall semester with a show titled "Abstractions, Landscapes and Light: Artist's Books, and Impressions in Watercolor." The exhibition runs from Wednesday Sept. 1 through Friday Sept. 24.

The Artist Lecture Series and a reception for the artists are scheduled for 5 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 1 in the gallery.

All works on exhibit are the accomplishments of two faculty members' sabbatical research and explorations. The artists are Josef Ritter, professor of interior design; and Allyn Stewart, assistant professor of visual communications.

The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall, 6 Sullivan St., is on the corner of Sullivan and Seminary streets in Cazenovia. Hours during the academic year are: 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, and 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. All exhibitions are free and open the public.
