To the editor:
The Friends of Marcellus Free Library are a hard-working, fun-loving group who share a dedication to our wonderful library and strive to help make it even better with programs, fund-raising, volunteer and advocacy efforts. In celebration of Friends of Libraries Week, (Oct. 17 to 23) we invite everyone to come to the library to participate in free, daily drawings of Friends-related prizes, become more aware of the many activities of the Friends and consider becoming a Friend!
A ten-dollar annual membership is an excellent way to demonstrate approval of all that the Marcellus library means to this community and appreciation for the many extras the Friends provide. We value everyone's membership, whether they choose to be an active participant in some or all of our activities and events, or choose only to offer their moral and financial support. As advocates, our collective voice carries the strength of our numbers. Membership information is available at the desk.
Anyone who may not have been to our new library should come this week to see what they have been missing. Take it from a friend - you'll like what you see!
