Auction scheduled for this weekend at Cazenovia St. James Church

Final plans are in place for the annual St. James Church Silent Auction planned for 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday Oct. 23 in the church hall.

Items continue to be donated for the event. A Macintosh G4 Apple computer, an oak dining table with six leaves and his and hers watches are recent additions to the auction list. Also added are a three-day stay at a vacation home on Keuka Lake, a weeklong occupancy at a Cape Cod location, Turkish prayer rugs and a catered dinner for six guests at the winning bidder's home.

Other items on the auction list include two antique drafting chairs, antique linen placemats and napkins, a silver tea pot and a handmade wall quilt. Bidders also may vie for a wine tasting party for ten guests at Nate Hoak's wine cellar in Cazenovia, a gift certificate to Nottleymere Cottage and two dining certificates to the Copper Turret and Bella Cucino restaurants.

Auction attendees also may bid on a Turning Stone gift card, a facial and massage at Matthew's Salon, a Pampered Chef lasagna dinner basket, a website package by eMarketMyBiz.com and a college application assistance plan by Maria Badami.

Adult beverages, soft drinks and hot and cold hors d'oeuvres will be served throughout the evening. An admission donation will be accepted. Anyone needing further information regarding donations or drop-offs should contact the church office at 655-3441.
