Join the Baldwinsville Public Library Friday Nov. 12 as they celebrate the opening of their public computing center and business resource center. The library will host an all day open house with refreshments beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Baldwinsville Public Library was recently awarded a $244,517 Public Computer Center grant as part of the Broadbandexpress@your library project from the U.S. Department of Commerce National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
Guests are invited to see the expanded reference area, training facility and the new business resource center. Staff will be available throughout the day to give demonstrations and answer questions.
Baldwinsville Public Library was one of 30 libraries across New York State to receive this federal stimulus grant through the New York State Library. The grant will provide more than 860 computers in 30 libraries and five mobile training centers across 41 upstate New York counties.
