High priority

Nothing rises higher on our list of priorities than safety.

On Sept. 25, Lowes, in conjunction with the Onondaga County Volunteer Firemen's Association, held a Safety Day in front of the store. The Camillus Fire Department brought along their 100-foot-long aerial truck and attendees were offered the opportunity to go up in the bucket for a very exciting experience.

The Camillus Police Department came to the event and performed child car safety seat inspections; members of WAVES performed free blood pressure checks; and the Onondaga County Volunteer Firemen's Association had their fire education and safety trailer on display, which gave children and their parents an opportunity to practice escaping from a smoke filled environment.
