Emerald Ash Borer Activity Day

Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County is hosting an Emerald Ash Borer Activity Day sponsored by the City of Syracuse Water Department. Young nature lovers and their families will learn how to identify Ash trees and how the Emerald Ash Borer threatens Ash trees and water quality.

This is a family oriented workshop on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Skaneateles Conservation Area. There will be an opportunity to make Emerald Ash Borer masks and win prizes, too.

Meet in the parking lot along the Old Seneca Turnpike, which is located between Chapman Road and NW Townline Road/County Road 176.

Pre-registration is required. Contact Kacie Gehl at 424-9485 ext. 232 or email at klg86@cornell.edu.
