Don't get burned

Sparky the Fire Dog will welcome visitors and emergency organizations who work in conjunction with the fire department and Clay's own trucks will be pulled out of the bays for all to see.

"We'll have all our engines over here the day of the open house," Patula said.

According to Patula, last year's event brought out more than 100 children and adults.

In addition to meeting volunteer firefighters, representatives for local agencies and having a chance to hang out with Sparky, the fire department will have donuts, apple cider, videos for kids to watch and gift bags for the children filled with school supplies.
