To promote a healthy lifestyle, Baker High School held its second annual Wellness Day Sept. 24. The school devoted the whole morning to health and wellness activities.
All of the high school's students had the opportunity to participate in a variety of healthy activities including hip-hop dance, yoga, handball, kickball and even a healthy cooking class. Activities were held throughout the building and on the district's main campus.
Baker's Wellness Day also promoted the district's wellness policy. In 2006, the Baldwinsville Central School District adopted its wellness policy, which emphasizes creating and maintaining a learning environment that models and encourages healthy eating and physical activity habits. The entire policy is on the district's web site at bville.org, under District Information.
