The First Presbyterian Church sponsored a golf tournament on Aug. 29 to enjoy some great fellowship and to raise funds for the cause of Common Grounds. Common Grounds is the site of many community events and meetings and is commonly known as the home of Project Caf , which sponsors so many positive activities for our community’s youth.
Common Grounds has recently advertised its need to raise money to ‘pay the rent’ in the front half of 35 Albany Street, and the Presbyterian Evangelism & Fellowship Committee decided to direct its fund-raising effort to this cause.
The church’s Outreach Committee agreed to match all funds raised, and this resulted in the total donation of $3,506.
Other donations would be gladly accepted, and these can be directed to Common Grounds, c/o Project Caf , PO Box 408, Cazenovia.
