Boys soccer, girls volleyball Bees advance to state finals

Nothing close to overtime was needed in Glens Falls - for though the B'ville girls volleyball side finally lost a game (something it didn't do against any Section III opponent), it still made it through to the championship round.

First, B'ville won a pair of close games over Lindenhurst, 25-23 and 25-22. Then it met Webster Schroeder and won the first game 25-20, but dropped the second game 26-24, so it needed a sweep over Arlington to clinch a finals berth.

Sure enough, the Bees won both games over Arlington, 25-21 and 25-19, so it faces Webster Schroeder in Sunday's best three-out-of-five final. B'ville lost the championship match in both 2008 and 2009, and looks for a different - and happier - ending here.
