Marcellus High School Drama Club to stage 'Cold Comfort Farm'

The Marcellus Senior High School Drama Club will present its fall drama production, "Cold Comfort Farm," Nov. 18, 19 and 20 in the newly renovated Groeling Auditorium. The performances are directed by Marcellus Senior High School English teacher/drama club faculty advisor David Weaver and take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

"Cold Comfort Farm" is a comic satire of rural English farm life based on a novel by Stella Gibbons and adapted for stage by Malcolm Bradbury. More than forty Marcellus Senior High School students are involved in the production, whose lead characters include Megan Grosholz, Anthony Delia, Ben Powers, Sophia Beratta, Eddie Powers, Derrick Cosco, Ian Bechteler, Angela Pugliese, Nick DeBartolomeo, Holly Grosholz and Joe Isgar.

Overall, the play is a "zany satire with a cheerful ending that leaves a few lingering, ironic questions for the audience to ponder."
