Hundreds visit CBA's annual open house

More than 800 visitors from around Central New York came through the doors at Christian Brothers Academy's Annual Open House Oct. 31.

The event was an opportunity for prospective students and their families to tour the school and find out more about a Lasallian education at CBA.

"This was one of the best turnouts in years," said Admissions Director Holly Dowd. "The Brothers spirit was definitely contagious as families learned more about our challenging academic curriculum, fun extracurricular activities and outstanding athletic programs. We were pleased to welcome so many prospective students, and we are always proud to showcase our own CBA students and faculty."

Some of the highlights of this year's open house included a presentation by the cast of the junior high musical, "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown;" performances by student musicians, demonstrations by the Salsa Club, science experiments, an art exhibit and the chance to meet students, faculty and staff.

Entrance exams for incoming seventh- and ninth-graders for the fall of 2011 are at 8 am. Saturdays Nov. 6 and Nov. 20. No pre-registration is required, and walk-ins are welcome. There is a $20 fee.
