Swanka sworn in as Kiwanis President

Mike Swanka, at left, sworn in as president of Solvay-Geddes-Camillus Kiwanis Club by Lt. Governor James Schaefer, receives the president's gavel from immediate past president Diane Howser. Schaefer leads 12 Kiwanis clubs in the counties of Onondaga, Cayuga and Oswego and is the principle contact with state and international Kiwanis groups. Swanka will lead the Kiwanis Club in its projects to help food pantries, high school scholarships, Upstate Children's Hospitals, the Diabetes Association, Boys and Girls Scouts, libraries and other community groups.
