Red Cross babysitting class
A Red Cross babysitting class will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday June 19 at the Baldwinsville Public Library. The course will include planning for a babysitting job, knowing what to expect of children, selecting toys and games, supervising children, preventing accidents, giving first aid, rescue breathing, caring for infants and children and feeding them. Students who complete the course will receive a resource book full of pertinent information, as well as a certificate of completion. Students must be 11 years old and should bring a lunch.
Start smart baseball camp
This six-week program held from 1 to 2 p.m. Sundays beginning May 23 at Lysander Park will allow you to work along with your child and teach the basic fundamentals of baseball: throwing, catching, hitting and running. This program is for both boys and girls 4 and 5 years of age.
Start smart basketball camp
This three-week program held from 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays beginning June 7 at Lysander Park will allow you to work along with your child and teach the basic fundamentals of basketball: dribbling, passing, shooting, ball handling and running. This program is for both boys and girls 4 and 5 years of age.
This three-week program beginning June 7 consists of group tennis lessons for ages 5 - 15. Lessons will be one hour and will be offered at beginner and intermediate levels. All lessons are taught by Tennis-n-Gear instructor Chris Galle, and are held at the tennis courts at Lysander Park.
Timber Banks youth and adult golf clinic
Improve your golf game and check out our new golf clinic. This four-week clinic, held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays from June 1 to 22 for golfers 6 to 17 years old and from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays from June 2 to 23 for golfers 18 and older, will help improve your swing and the little mechanics for those finesse shots. Timber Banks instructors will be teaching the clinic.
