KBR Donor Spotlight: BTA donates
Baldwinsville Teachers Association (BTA) member Kevin Murphy, left, makes a donation to KBR President Wendy Burke in support of the Keep The Ball Rolling (KBR) event, an after the senior ball party designed to keep students safe. The BTA purchased drawstring bags for every senior and an iPad to be won by a senior who attends the KBR celebration. Each drawstring bag will be stuffed with items donated by local businesses and community members and distributed to seniors the night of the event. Seniors not attending the event will receive their bag the following week.
Local businesses have shown generous support for KBR helping Baker High School's PTSA to provide seniors with a safe night of outrageous fun and prizes. KBR's mission is to give seniors a way to celebrate without alcohol, drugs and driving, thus helping to prevent tragic accidents on ball night. While several businesses, community organizations and individuals have already contributed to make the senior ball, held Friday May 28, a truly memorable night for Baker seniors, KBR is still looking for donations and volunteers that would like to help.
