B'ville community briefs: Choir to perform Saturday

The First Presbyterian Church of Baldwinsville will host a concert by the Pyongyang Presbytery Korean Women's Choir at 7 p.m. Saturday May 22 at the church, 64 Oswego St. in Baldwinsville.

The choir will perform a selection of sacred and folk songs in special concerts as they share their culture and faith. They are visiting Central New York as guests of the Presbytery of Cayuga-Syracuse. The choir will also be at Park Central Presbyterian Church in Syracuse at 4 p.m. May 23 and at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Auburn at 7 p.m. May 26.

The Pyongyang Presbytery Korean Women's Choir has been serving God through music for 30 years. The community is invited and a free will offering will support the choir's expenses.

BCA hosts fourth annual Walk-A-Thon

Baldwinsville Christian Academy will hosts it's fourth annual Walk-A-Thon (3 and 5K Walk) beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday May 22 at Kerri Hornaday Memorial Park in Radisson (rain or shine). Registration begins at 9 a.m. and walkers are encouraged to obtain sponsors. All monies raised benefit Christian education at Baldwinsville Christian Academy. Refreshments will follow the commencement of the walk, which is free and open to the public. To become an individual or business sponsor, contact the school (638-1069).
