Meet the Liverpool Board of Education candidates

These are tough times for Central New York. But that has not changed the hopes and dreams I have for my children and all the children of the region. I love Liverpool and all that it has and still does represent.

Experience has taught me it is possible to be fiscally responsible and still do great things.

If elected to the School Board I will put in the time necessary to truly understand the issues that we face. I will ask the tough questions and be open to creative solutions. I will do my best to answer the inquiries and concerns of our community and stay in conversation with those that wish to be a part of our great District. Every time I attend an Open House, concert, sporting event or just pick my children up at school I am reminded of how instrumental the Liverpool School District is in shaping the lives and futures of our children.

Today, I still see around town, my guidance counselor or social studies teacher (yes, I am old and these are the titles these folks had "back in the day") and we know each other by name. They had a profound effect on my becoming who I am today. I want this for our children and will do my best to help that happen if you elect me to the school board. Thank you.

Donald Cook - current BOE member

Don Cook was appointed to the board in October to fill a vacancy. Don and his wife Jacky have lived in Liverpool for more than 37 years and raised three children that all went through Liverpool Schools.

In part it is the great experience that his children had and the success they have achieved through their experience in Liverpool that inspired Don to seek the position initially.
