Update: Teen arrested in robbery of pizza delivery driver


DeWitt Police have arrested a 14-year-old in connection with the March 30 armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver.

The employee for Peppino's was robbed at knifepoint about 9:30 p.m. by two men wearing ski masks. The incident occured at the corner of Dunlap and Fobes avenues in the town of Dewitt.

Police said they now have one suspect in custody. The teen is jailed on $25,000 bail.

The DeWitt Police Department is investigating the armed robbery of a Peppino's Pizzeria delivery driver.

The incident occurred on March 30 at about 9:40 p.m., at the corner of Dunlap and Fobes avenues in the town of Dewitt.

The suspects ordered food from Peppino's to be delivered to an address on Dunlap Avenue. They waited for the driver to exit her vehicle and walk toward the house, then approached her from behind, brandished a knife, and demanded the food and money.

The suspects are described as two black males, 5 feet 6 inches, 150 pounds, about 20 years old, wearing dark clothing and masks. The two fled north on foot through the back yards. The driver was not injured.

The suspects got away with pizza, wings, and a small amount of cash.
