An Earth Day cleanup in North Syracuse

Once again, the village of North Syracuse and various community organizations, groups and individuals will be participating with the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency to help "clean up the county" on Saturday April 17.

The department is seeking individuals and groups to sign up to help with this worthwhile cause.

Participants should meet at the North Syracuse Community Center at 9 a.m. Garbage bags will be provided; areas for clean up will be identified and coffee, juice and donuts will be provided.

DPW will haul away all garbage. Following the cleanup, participants are invited back to the Community Center for lunch. Papa John's will provide pizza and soda, and there will also be hotdogs and chips.

Please mark your calendars for April 24 to help clean up our community. Call the North Syracuse Parks and Recreation office at 458-8050 to register.
