SUMC to hold talent, dessert auction Friday

The Skaneateles United Methodist Church will hold a talent and dessert auction from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday March 19.

The dessert auction will benefit the Campership Fund to send children to summer camp this year. The talent and service auction will benefit church projects, including mission activities.

Everyone is welcome to attend and bid on the many wonderful items and services church members have donated. Services to be auctioned off include everything from an airplane ride for two, a pool party, an eggs Benedict brunch on a garden patio, architectural consultation, boat rides on both Skaneatles and Owasco lakes, a round of golf for three at the Skaneateles Country Club, trout fishing, garden plowing, mother's helper,

microdermabrasion from Reflections Dermatology, fall bulb planting, a three night stay in a Vermont home and computer help. Edible treats that will be auctioned include homemade maple syrup, and redeemable gift certificates for various cakes, cookies, and pies, and toffee. Items that will be auctioned off include a gift certificate to Rosalie's and to Aristocats and Dogs, a flowerpot in the winning bidder's choice of color, a custom designed watch and necklace, and a MacKenzie Childs enamelware sauce pot. Scrumptious desserts made by church members and local restaurants will be offered for auction as well as be served that night for attendees.

The church is located between Skaneateles Town Hall and Joe's Pasta Garage on Jordan Street.
