Cicero Republicans launch new Web site

March Madness' event also on the calendar for March

The Cicero Republicans have launched a new Web site, cicerogop.org.

The purpose of the Web site is to inform residents about local issues confronting the town of Cicero as well as valuable links to information everyone will be in interested in, according to Jim Corl, Sr., Cicero Town Councilor and chairman of the Cicero Republicans.

The site will also feature polls to get feedback from the residents regarding thoughts on local government. The first poll asks residents about the recent announcement regarding the possibility of dissolving the Cicero Police Department and contracting with the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department for police protection.

Corl said this is an issue that will have major implications as to how police service is provided to residents for generations to come, therefore, as much participation as possible is necessary.

The Cicero Republicans will be hosting their annual "March Madness" event from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday March 18 at Borio's Restaurant. All are welcome to attend and meet local Cicero Republican leaders while watching the NCAA action on the "big screen." For more information call 440-5969 or visit cicerogop.org.
