Harbour Heights Winter Fun Day

Harbour Heights' children pose on top of a sledding hill during the neighborhoods recent Winter Fun Day. Along with their parents, the children braved the cold and enjoyed a day in the snow. Events included a sledding hill, mini hill for the little ones, a giant snow turtle with a cave, paint the snowmen with colored water in squirt bottles along with hot dogs, hot chocolate and dessert provided by the Homeowners' Association. A snow sculpture contest held in neighborhood front yards yielded the following winning families: Damato, Gerharz, Doubleday, Carter and Yorkey. Their creations included a giant serpent, a snowman bowling with his "head" snowball, a giant ladybug, a carved ice sculpture bear and an SU snowman with his basketballs. Darlene Doubleday organized the event with help from Bob Crandall, Pat Dickman, Becky Cerio, Pat and Mike Apicella, together with many neighbors.
