An event almost 12 years in the making, according to Rich Russell, Voss Signs' general manager at the Liverpool location, during the June 16 grand opening and ribbon cutting festivities.
Also helping with the ribbon cutting were several community members and Voss Signs employees, Salina Supervisor Mark Nicotra, Liverpool Chamber of Commerce members Dennis Hebert, Lucretia Hudzinski and Bill Pastella.
Russell, of Canastota, said he is proud to be running the second Voss location as the business has been serving the Manlius community for 45 years thus far.
"I knew this was the right place for me," Russell said.
Owner of both locations, Jim Menter, was also present at the grand opening. Russell said the Menter family kept to its promise in helping him achieve his goals.
"It became more than I thought it would be," Russell said.
