There will be a celebration on June 29 at the Canton Woods Senior Center where Eleanor is active.

Other news: Margaritafest planned in B'ville

July 31 will mark the first Margaritafest in Baldwinsville. Beginning at 2 p.m., several area bars and restaurants will offer samples of their take on the classic drink. Maps showing a walking route with participating vendors will also be available at every stop, and patrons can vote on their favorite version. The event will conclude with a concert by Kashmir on Paper Mill Island.

Margaritafest is being organized by the Greater Baldwinsville Economic Development Agency. One of the organizers, Derek Shepard, also a Van Buren board member, said there is a Facebook page dedicated to the new festival, where you can RSVP and invite others to join.
