Syracuse Police seek assistance in locating missing resident

The Syracuse Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating an 84-year-old female who has been missing since Tuesday June 22 at 8 a.m.

The victim, Genevieve Craniades, age 84, of 1322 Oak St. was last seen at her residence. She is described as being a white female, five feet two inches tall and 120 LBS with gray hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a sage green tee shirt and green pants.

The victim has recently displayed signs of Alzheimer's disease. The last time Craniades wandered from home she was found in the area of Highland Park, which is located near the corner of Highland and Douglas Streets on the north side of Syracuse.

The victim does not have access to a vehicle and it is believed she left her residence on foot.

The reverse 911 system has been activated in the area around her residence.

The Syracuse Police request that anyone who has any information on Genevieve Craniades, call 911 or the Syracuse Police Criminal Investigation Division at 442-5222.
