BYSA recruits European coaches for unique camp curriculum
Baldwinsville Youth Soccer Association (BYSA) will host a soccer camp for players ages 4 to 13 years old at Spence Field (Lysander Park) the week of July 19 through 23.
BYSA is partnering with Midwest Soccer Academy (MSA) to operate the camp. MSA hand-picks coaches from across Europe to deliver a unique camp curriculum. The innovative "Dutch Touch" coaching method provides each and every player with a unique developmental soccer experience.
"BYSA is thrilled to bring this level of coaching to our community and players," said Hugh Goodridge, president of BYSA. "There is just so much excitement around soccer today, with the World Cup all over the news. It is a great sport and we believe this a fantastic opportunity for kids to build their love for the game."
The camp offers two age-appropriate choices: half-day sessions from 9 a.m. to noon for U6 to U8 players, as well as full-day sessions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for U10 to U14.
"This is a new program from BYSA," said Annie Simmonds, BYSA Assistant Coach and Youth Representative. "I wish it had been available when I was a BYSA player. I'm sure the kids will always remember this experience."
All players will receive high-level coaching, a free water bottle and T-shirt, full player evaluation and end-of-camp awards ceremony. There is even an exciting chance to be a host family for an international MSA coach for the week. Each host family will receive one free camp scholarship. Tuition is $99 for the half-day session and $159 for the full-day session. Families can view the camp information flyer and register online through BYSA's web site, bvillesoccer.com. Camp registration is open online through July 16, but be sure to register early to ensure a spot.
