If you're interested in helping to support volunteer programs that make a difference here in the Baldwinsville community, the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center asks that you consider becoming a board member of the organization.
There are no special requirements or qualifications to serve on the board; members are responsible for attending monthly meetings, providing guidance for the center's various programs and pitching in to help with fundraising efforts.
The Baldwinsville Volunteer Center mobilizes people and resources to meet needs within the community. Its programs include transporting senior citizens to medical appointments; mentoring school children; the Christmas Bureau, which provides food and gifts to families and elderly shut-ins; promoting community involvement and opportunities for youth, and an information and referral help line to let people know about community resources and promote volunteer opportunities.
If you are interested in joining the board or attending a meeting to learn more, contact the Center's Executive Director, Nancy Conley, at 638-0251. For more information about the Volunteer Center, visit bvillevolunteers.org.
