Modified soccer to start in skaneateles

Meetings for modified scheduled:

For those who may not be aware, the Skaneateles School Board has allowed for two modified soccer teams per gender.

Each gender will have two teams, each playing between 5 and 7 interscholastic games that will accompanied by intra-squad scrimmages.

"We understand that many may not have signed up for soccer because they were concerned about the cuts," Jim Gregg said, califying that there will not be any cuts to modified soccer this fall.

With that in mind, they are hosting organizational meetings for the parents of those interested in playing modified soccer. These meetings are for those that have signed up and for those who may not have signed up but are still interested.

Both meetings will take place at Jim Gregg's home, 67 East Lake Street (685-6354) at 6 p.m.

The girls meeting will be on Monday Aug. 2, the boys meeting will be on Wednesday Aug. 4.
