Caz Lions Club fireworks committee thanks donors

Despite a slow start, the Cazenovia Lions Club managed to fund in full this year's Fourth of July fireworks thanks to community donations.

In an open letter to donors, Lion Dan Wrightsman said, "Thank you for your kind contribution to the Cazenovia Fireworks Fund. If you were at the fireworks show, you know they are an integral part of Cazenovia's Fourth of July. They help cap off the great celebration of the Fourth of July in Cazenovia."

The Lions have sponsored the fireworks for three years, but Wrightsman and the Lions attribute their success to "the generosity of the community."

"These donations entirely paid for the fireworks," the Lions said. "Thanks again for helping make them a success."
