Girls Spartans beaten by CBA, J-D

As the final period started, the Rams were up 45-32, but with three baskets from Arnela Mesic, the Spartans closed within five, 45-40, before Gratien and Kramer put together eight consecutive points, allowing J-D to get away for good.

Of Gratien's 24 points, most of them came at the line as she sank 14 of 16 free throws. Kramer contributed 20 points, her second-best total of the season, while Nicole Ortega got nine points. On ESM's side, Mesic led with 17 points as Luciani had nine points. Medler and Buckley got six points apiece.

J-D had, prior to this game, ripped through Fowler 59-27 last Tuesday night. Gratien finished with 16 points, while Jessica Kramer had nine points. Nicole Ortega and Kara Capstraw each had eight points and Liz Beville got six points.
