Fritz's Polka Band to play North Syracuse fest

The award winning and widely recognized Fritz's Polka Band will be performing at the North Syracuse Village Family Festival May 29 in Lonergan Park.

Fritz Scherz, leads the band founded by his father, the late Fred Scherz Sr., as an accordion player. Four other band members make up the 2009 Sammy Award winning band noted for performing an eclectic mix of musical styles, including modern polka, country, fox-trot, waltz, and more!

Fritz's Polka Band is known for breaking the stereotype regarding "polka" music. FPB is the first polka band to perform at a Woodstock Festival. FPB is also the first polka band to perform at B.B. King's Blues Club, as well as The China Club and just recently, the Metropolitan Club, all located in New York City.
