A few residents voiced concerns about the board to the Star-Review through phone calls and letters to the editor.
The general concern was whether or not the town board would be able to work together, and work for the town.
"Absolutely, working as a team is paramount," said Lynn Jennings, town councilor.
Town Councilor Jessica Zambrano said the board will simply have to "iron out" some of their differences.
"We will work for the betterment of the town," Zambrano said. "I very much welcome that."
In Boyke's final thoughts at the end of the Jan. 13 board meeting she said she wanted residents to know that "from this day forward we're going to have a strong team."
