YMCA of Greater Syracuse Exceeds 2009 Fundraising Goal

The YMCA of Greater Syracuse exceeded its 2009 fundraising goal for the organization's Partner with Youth campaign. The YMCA Partner with Youth campaign allows the Y to provide financial assistance and subsidize costs for youth programs and memberships for families and individuals throughout the year. The 2009 goal for Partner with Youth was $400,000. The YMCA exceeded that goal by nearly $2,000. The 2009 goal represented a 30 percent increase over the total amount raised during the 2008 Partner with Youth campaign.

Nearly 100 volunteers raised funds on behalf of the YMCA during the 2009 Partner with Youth campaign. The campaign leadership included: Bill Bradt, general chairperson; Sandy Kinsella, general vice chairperson; Jason Allers, Downtown YMCA chairperson; Mike McCaffrey, East Area Family YMCA chairperson; Andrew Henty, North Area Family YMCA chairperson; and Linda Bush, Arts Branch of the YMCA chairperson.
