Skaneateles: Justices receive approval for new clerk

The board approved the appointment. However, they reduced the number of hours from 20 to 15. The pay remains the same at $11.50 per hour.

During the meeting, the board also approved the official undertaking -- a resolution naming supervisor, deputy supervisor and all several other positions within the town that receive money on behalf of the municipality.

Councilor Jim Greenfield was appointed deputy supervisor and Bridgett Winkelman was appointed budget officer. Other positions, which are elected seats, include supervisor, town clerk, town justices and town tax collector.

In other news, the board:

* Approved a contract for the Skaneateles Lightning swim team. The lease between the town and community center provides for $5 million in insurance coverage while the agreement says there is coverage for $2 and $4 million. Roney requested the swim team correct the contract to reflect the $5 million coverage provided.
