Controversial film series at Liverpool Public Library

The Liverpool Public Library is pleased to have Syracuse University Professor Kendall Phillips back to present another series on controversial films, their impact on and the reaction to them by society. The first program will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday Jan. 21 in the Carman Community Room.

Showing that night: She Done Him Wrong, starring Mae West (1933). The film will last 68 minutes. A short lecture will precede the film and there will be time for discussion to follow.

The Controversial Classics Cinema Series continues Thursday evening Feb. 18 with The Dirty Dozen starring Donald Sutherland.

All of the films in the Controversial Classics Cinema Series are free and open to everyone.

The Liverpool Public Library is located at 310 Tulip St. in Liverpool.
