Liverpool teacher becomes guest author at own school

Long Branch Elementary had a very special guest author visit their school on Dec. 14, their own second-grade teacher Bonnie Carroll-Marsh.

Carroll-Marsh recently published her first children's book, "Elves on Vacation: Having a Blast!" with the help of illustrator Michelle Marie Taormina. The holiday tale features Santa's elves who have had enough of working all the time and decide to go on vacation. The story follows the adventures of little Elf Nore and all his friends after they sneak out of the toyshop.

Carroll-Marsh read some of her new book to LBE students in kindergarten through sixth-grade, and spoke with them about her experiences while writing and publishing the book.

Those interested in purchasing "Elves on Vacation: Having a Blast!" can visit elvesonvacation.com. Books cost $12 each. To schedule Carroll-Marsh for an author visit, call 481-8202.
