Buerkle gathers endorsements in 25th Congressional race

Penfield-- The Monroe County Republican Committee today formally endorsed

Registered Nurse and attorney Ann Marie Buerkle in her race for New York's 25th

Congressional District at a "mini" designating convention at Penfield Town Hall.

With the vote, Buerkle has received all announced support to date, including the

Conservative Committees in Monroe, Wayne, and Cayuga Counties and now the Monroe

County Republican Committee.

"I am grateful and buoyed by the overwhelming support Monroe County Republicans

pledged to me and my campaign today," said Buerkle. "Together, we will move forward

toward victory in November to restore a real voice for Upstate New York families in


Buerkle, a nurse and mother of six and grandmother of eleven, is a former Syracuse

Common Councilor and New York State Assistant Attorney General working in

healthcare. She is currently seeking the Republican and Conservative Party

endorsements for the seat.

Republicans in Onondaga, Cayuga, and Wayne Counties are scheduled to meet on

Wednesday, March 3rd to officially endorse in the race.

Conservatives in Onondaga County are scheduled to meet to officially recommend a

candidate for endorsement on March 2nd.

New York's 25th Congressional District includes the Monroe County Towns of

Irondequoit, Webster, and Penfield.
