State Assembly recognizes Baker's Marching Band

New York State Assemblyman William Barclay presents seniors from the Baldwinsville Marching Band with a proclamation from the Assembly, in recognition of the band's first place finish in the New York State Field Band Conference Championship Show, held in November.

The resolution states "Be it resolved that this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to congratulate the Baldwinsville Bees Marching Band upon the occasion of capturing the Governor's Cup by placing 1st in the Large School Class II Division at the 2009 New York State Field Band Conference Championships and to wish the members success in all of their future endeavors."

Assemblyman Barclay made the presentation Feb. 12 at Baker High School.

"I am pleased to present this resolution to the Baldwinsville Marching Band for their hard work and dedication to their music, their school and to their community. The Baldwinsville Bees practiced long hours to be able to showcase their talents and win at competition. This is a victory for the whole community," Barclay said.
