The Local Onondaga County Chapter No. 243 AARP meets at 12:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month through May and from September through November at the American Legion Hall, 139 W. Manlius Street, East Syracuse. Doors open at noon for socializing. Coffee and snacks will be available.
The meeting topics include legislation applicable to seniors, volunteer opportunities, medical information and other programs of interest to people age 50 years or older. AARP promotes three goals, Education, Advocacy, and Service. The speaker on Tuesday March 2 will be Andrew M. Maxwell, senior neighborhood planner for the Department of Community Development in the city of Syracuse.

The Local Onondaga County Chapter No. 243 AARP will meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Liverpool Public Library, 310 Tulip St., to discuss legislative matters and discuss the budget update.
