The adult coretone fitness class will focus on core training using fitness bands, small equipment, and mats. A physical training and body conditioning program using the newest information to develop strength and better range of motion. Florence Drago, a certified core fitness instructor, will lead the eight-week session.
The class will run from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays for an eight-week session between Feb. 23 and April 13. The fee is $40 for the winter session. Pre-registration is required and can be done by calling the Clay Recreation Department at 625-3800 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
This low impact form of exercising leads to greater flexibility, a better degree of abdominal strength, and will strengthen and tone the entire body. This is not an aerobics class, but features exercises using continuous movement and proper breathing through Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi, and Dance with proven fitness moves. There is the side benefit of some cardiovascular components. All fitness levels can do this program.
Participants will need their own floor mat, a thick cushion or a beach towel. Apparel should consist of comfortable clothing, sneakers or slippers, no bare feet.
