Worship Team at Christian Community Church

The Central Square Community Church will host the Worship Team from Christian Community Church on Elderberry Lane in concert on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 4:00 at the Central Square Community Church (just north of Reymore Chevrolet on Route 11). Their style of music is a contemporary worship sound, mixing Scripture based lyrics with a 70's & 80's rock style. They play a variety of music from old hymns, which have been adapted to their musical style, to contemporary worship music commonly heard on radio stations such as KLOVE.

Bob Freeman is both the worship leader and the pastor. Freeman has a long history of leading Worship Services, beginning with the early days of Believer's Chapel, and then on to New Life Church, and finally at Christian Community Church. Freeman plays acoustic guitar, harmonica and provides lead vocals.

Freeman's wife Heidi plays keys for the team and provides backup vocals. Heidi and Bob home school their children and are very active in the lives of their kids. She is the part that fills in the sound we make, and provides those little accents that only a set of keys can do.

Maxine Corbat provides backup vocals and percussion for the team. Max has sung with other church choirs in the past and brings the delicate sound to our performances.

Joni Conley plays backup rhythm guitar and provides both backup and lead vocals. Joni is a very powerful vocalist with a strong sense of worship in her vocal offerings Joni also participated on the Worship Team at New Life Church.

Mike Marlow plays lead guitar and has participated in the dinner theaters put on by Central Square Community Church (Godspell and On Broadway), as the house guitarist. Mike brings the rock edge to the music we play, and sings both backup vocals and lead vocals. Mike has lead Worship Teams and Services at Believer's Chapel, and Central Square (now Mallory) Wesleyan Church prior to joining Christian Community Church.

All are welcome for this concert. There will be a goodwill offering to be shared by the performers and the Central Square Community Church.
