B'ville sells roses for Haiti

Le Cercle Fran ais, the French Club at Baker High School, has made 500 chocolate rose lollipops to sell to students and faculty in an effort to help Haiti, a French-speaking country in need. By hand-making roses rather than buying ready-made, the club will triple profits, which will be donated to Haitian relief efforts.

In honor of Valentines Day the buyer may attach a message to the rose and have it delivered to someone else in the school.

Members of Cercle Fran ais poured the chocolate, will prepare messages and deliver the finished product Friday Feb. 13.

In addition to the rose sale, Baker will host a concert Saturday March 27 with all profits going to Partners in Health, a Haitian relief organization.
