In history: Week of Dec. 29

The Stone House Studio's final Christmas party for the dancing classes was held Thursday evening, December 22, for the high school group, who enjoyed supper at the studio before the dance. Highlight of the three ballroom parties was to guess the height of the Christmas tree, which nearly touches the ceiling of the ballroom. All are anxiously awaiting this issue of The Republican to see who won the prize. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lester announce that a tie exists; and Miss Gayonne Taylor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Taylor of Cobb Hill, and Miss Jane Skoglund, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Skoglund of West Lake Rd. will share the prize. The two came closest to the exact height of the tree.
