Auburn Memorial Hospital (AMH) appointed Tammy A. Sunderlin as the Director of Nursing. In her new position, she will be responsible for all aspects of the provision of safe and adequate nursing care by the nursing staff at AMH. In addition, she will participate in activities related to the overall hospital's organizational programming, goal-setting and policy development.
Sunderlin is a graduate of St. John Fisher College in Rochester, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She continued her education at the University of Phoenix where she was awarded a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Management, and Nursing. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing.
Prior to this appointment, she was a nurse manager at Auburn Memorial Hospital. She was previously employed in nursing management positions at Upstate Medical University Hospital and Community General Hospital.
