This week's Liverpool High School Senior of the Week is Jennifer Street.
While Street has a long list of school activities she's involved in - including Key Club, Science and Exploration Club, Dollars for Scholars, Varsity Club and acting treasurer of the National Honor Society - she also gives her time to organizations that aren't affiliated with the school, like Maureen's Hope and Strides Strength.
Street also spends her time by staying active playing sports. She's involved in the Empire State Games, Liverpool's varsity volleyball team, Salt City Soccer and the Onondaga Volleyball Club.
She's been named the MVP for volleyball and earned the Section III Scholar Athlete Award, along with several other academic honors - Dartmouth Book Award, Clarkson Leadership Scholarship and academic achievement awards in math, engineering, Spanish, U.S. history and chemistry.
Street said the greatest influences in her life have been her parents, along with several of her teachers.
"They're always there for me," she said of her parents, Mickey and Maria Street. "Also, many of my teachers have been instrumental in my high school career, such as Mrs. Flick, Mrs. Christensen, Mr. Chartrand, Mr. Calderwood and Mrs. Dutelle."
Street said her favorite classes are all of the science and math classes she's taken throughout her high school career and she's interested in having a career in the mathematics or engineers fields.
With all the high school senior has going on in her school life, Street also makes time to volunteer at the Liverpool Public Library and works at Wegmans on Route 31.
