Annual fundraiser for fallen hero falls on Sept. 11:
After the fall of the World Trade Center's Towers, Todd's Fund was established in the memory of Skaneateles' Todd Pitman who lost his life in that tragedy. Todd was smart, successful and generous -- a very good friend.
Since 2002, Todd's Fund has given more than $480,000 in aid and educational support to more than 1,500 children in Central New York.
This year has been especially busy for Todd's Fund. Through the efforts of Fund President Gail Calloway, the Board of Directors and the many people who spread the message Todd's Fund is really making a difference.
Fundraising is especially important this year, because of the high cost of gas, groceries, health insurance and utilities burdening many families in our community. It is essential to come together in these difficult times to continue to help the children, families, churches, schools, hospitals and other organizations that have come to depend on support from Todd's Fund.
Everyone in this community has the power to keep Todd's spirit and love of life strong, but we need to be proactive.
Can you believe it's the ninth annual Todd's Fund Golf Tournament and Dinner? Invite your family and friends to join in this year for the fundraising dinner on Sept. 11 in Skaneateles.
The friends and family of Todd's Fund can't wait to share all they have done over the past year. Good food and good times make great memories, so make your reservations now.
The cocktail reception will begin at the Skaneateles Country Club at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner, raffle, silent auction and live auction. The $75 fee for the evening event includes dinner, open bar and dessert.
You can download an RSVP form, send by e-mail Contact@ToddsFund.org or pay at the door; but either way let them know you will be coming (they need an accurate headcount for the Chef to prepare dinner). They will accept all major credit cards the day/night of the event (Master Card, VISA, American Express and Discover).
