In an attempt to educate the electorate for the upcoming Primary and General Elections, the Onondaga County Board of Elections has loaned one of the new voting machines to the town of Salina.
"Salina accepted this offer from the Board of Elections because we thought this would be a good way to educate our residents prior to Election Day," said Salina Supervisor Mark Nicotra. "I had a personal misconception that these new machines would be more challenging to vote with. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that these new machines are very simple to use."
The new voting machine will be at Salina Town Hall until Friday Aug. 27. Stop in to see Town Clerk Jeannie Ventre for a demonstration or call the clerk's office at 457-2711 for more information.
